My Current Obsession...

Forgive my recent mid century modern obsession, but I am after one of these teak lounge chairs like it is nobody's business!  I seriously must have one of these chairs.  Actually, If' I'm being honest and wishing for stuff, I want two.  I already have two armchairs in my living room but those can easily find another home in the house to make room for two of these little lovelies.

Because of my current obsession with acquiring one (or two!) of these chairs, I have been checking Craigslist at least twice a day; checking some of my local sources here in St. Pete who specialize in furniture from this era and checking my online sources but, to no avail I have not come across my beloved chairs.

I have high hopes of walking into Goodwill on one of my weekly thrifting runs to find two, just sitting there waiting to be rushed home, reupholstered and placed in my living room where they can enjoy the mid century credenza that already has a home there...a girl can dream...

My chair hunt poses an interesting question...did they make a bad chair during this era?!  I really love them all....

Hey there! Just coming over from the BYW class and wanted to let you know that I SOOOO share your current obsession. I recently came across two Herman Miller fiberglass chairs and a coffee and side table by Paul Mccobb for the Planner Group on Craigslist. Glorious! I'll be sure and keep an eye out for your chair :)

Ah, you are so lucky!! I don't have much luck at all on Craigslist! There are a couple of antique shops here that specialize in mid century but they just don't have the deals that you can find on Craigslist!
