Kyle Hale Photography
This is the photographer we chose for our wedding. Isn't his work amazing? I'm so excited that we got him. I can't believe the wedding is almost here, we are a little more than 4 months away!

Carved Sheet Wax Jewelry
Ooh, how I wish I was still living in New York. This jewelry class sounds amazing.
Tea and Rainy Days...
It's storming outside and I'm sitting in bed working on my laptop and drinking a nice cup of vanilla tea, feeling very inspired by this screen print...

Office Space...
I think the first room we are going to tackle in our new house is the office. This house had everything we were looking for, except a third bedroom, so the office may have to pull double duty as a guest bedroom. We're still trying to sort out that detail.
The first thing I need though, is a desk. I have always loved the Pottery Barn Project Table but I feel like it might start to take over the room because it's so large and we are going for the "light and airy, beach cottage" look.
I also like this saw horse look but it seems like the newest trend and Mike isn't a fan of glass table tops.
I really like this idea, it's unique and it would give me lots of space for other projects.
Or I could do something practical like this with shelving... Any suggestions?

Naughty and Nice...
LOVE these adorable underwear from Paisley Pickle. Read the inspiration for this genius idea here.
Closing day...
Closing day is finally here! We're still packing up boxes, we will start moving everything over tomorrow morning. I can't wait! I will have intermittent internet service until everything is hooked up officially at the new place, so expect light posting over the next few days.

Some kitchen love...
We had our inspection Friday morning, everything went really well so it looks like we will be closing on Wednesday. I'm getting excited! The only thing I'm stumped on is our new kitchen, it's small and we are at a loss for how to remodel it in a more efficient way. I've been searching the net looking for some inspiration...I like the idea of open shelving or glass doors for the upper cabinets. I think that helps the space feel more open and airy. I'm determined to get my "nook" too!
Fey Handmade
A little jewelry love from Fey Handmade, I couldn't pick a favorite, there were so many cute things to choose from!

Travel by Design - Mayakoba
You'll have to bear with me because this week's Travel by Design is another Mexican hotel, I just couldn't resist sharing this one.
In the area around Playa del Carmen, the hotels are all about their entrances. While we were in Mexico we kept driving by Mayakoba, which had an amazing entrance. This of course sparked my interest so when we got back to the states I googled it. Turns out, it's not just the entrance that is amazing.
The resort is built around mangroves and a private lagoon. Each room has a private plunge pool and roof deck. The room design is modern but built with natural materials like limestone and wood to make it look like it is part of the landscape. The resort is absolutely breathtaking.

I'm back!
Mexico was beautiful! We had such a great time, I'm a little sad to be home. Here are some pics from our trip. The blurry one in the airport is actually of Blake Lively and Penn Badgley from Gossip Girl. They were on our plane to Mexico and were stranded with us at the airport for eight hours in Miami!
On a different note, we got the house! We have an inspection on Friday and if all goes well we will close next Wednesday! I will post pictures of the house soon. I'm very excited and hoping everything goes well with the inspection tomorrow.
I'm still in vacation mode so expect light posting here for a few days until I get back into the swing of things! Glad to be home and I hope you all had a great week.
