I have always had a love affair with Craftsman style homes. I LOVE the detail, the architecture, the wood work and the built-ins galore! The big front porch with the ceiling fans and porch swing.
Mike and I are house hunting and the Arts and Crafts movement was big in Florida in the 1920's and 30's and a lot of the old historic neighborhoods are filled with these styles of homes. They refer to them as "Florida Bungalows", whatever they call them here, I love them so here is an ode to beautiful Craftsman style homes and the workmanship that went into them...
Those are gorgeous! I've always loved that style of house too, but I never knew what they were called. So thank you for that (and for the dreamy photos).
